ReadyStudy and your family

ReadyStudy operates this app and website. The current app provides learning games, guided lessons and creative activities for students, with setup, accounts and purchases handled by a parent or guardian. Playing does not require a parent account. It does involve server processing: we store a service identifier, student profile information and learning progress to operate the app. An optional linked parent account enables access to those profiles and progress across devices.

Information used by the current app

• Student profiles: age, optional name and gender, interests, learning goals, language, learning age preference and parent-provided starting-level answers.
• Learning activity: completed activities, answers and graded attempts, progress, lesson and creative participation records, and recommendation delivery history.
• Identity and security: server-issued session and device identifiers, credentials, linked parent-account identifiers, request details and IP-based abuse-prevention information.
• Optional parent account: email address, display name, authentication identifiers and information provided through Clerk or a sign-in method you choose.
• Purchases: subscription identifiers, store purchase records and entitlement information. ReadyStudy does not receive full payment-card details.
• Support: messages, session or account details and any attachments you choose to send when requesting help.

The device also stores preferences, credentials and profile drafts. Saved artwork, including drawing and coloring files, remains on the device where it was created. Creative participation metadata is stored on our servers; the artwork itself is not synced by linking a parent account.

Why we use this information

• Set up student profiles, select starting levels and personalize learning tracks.
• Deliver content, grade activities, save progress and show learning history to parents.
• Link optional parent accounts and provide access to profiles and progress across devices.
• Process and restore subscriptions, verify Premium access and prevent purchase abuse.
• Operate and secure the service, investigate errors and respond to support or privacy requests.

ReadyStudy has no ads. We do not sell personal information, use student learning information for advertising or track users across other companies' apps and websites for advertising.

Providers and disclosure

Cloudflare hosts requests, databases and catalog media. Clerk handles optional parent authentication, together with any sign-in provider you select. RevenueCat and the applicable app store process subscription identifiers, purchase records and access information. These providers process information needed for their roles under their own terms and privacy policies. No parent sign-in does not mean no server collection.

Narration uses prerecorded content and device speech. The current app does not request microphone recording permissions or record student speech. Editorial creation of catalog audio does not send student recordings to a voice-generation provider. Schoolwork uploads, quiz generation and AI chat are not part of the replacement app's normal learning experience. The separate older services are described below.

We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse or secure the service. We do not make student profiles public or share them with unrelated families.

Parent controls and choices

A parent or guardian should complete setup and provide only information they are authorized to share. For Parents is protected by a parental gate and lets you review progress, manage student profiles and adjust settings. A math gate is an access control; it is not a claim of verified parental consent for every kind of processing. Linking a parent account is optional.

Parents may ask to review, correct or delete a student's personal information, or stop further collection, by using the app's controls or contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to export information or object to its use. We may ask for limited information to verify that you are authorized to make a request. If required information is deleted or further processing is refused, the features that depend on it may no longer work.

Retention and deletion

Saved profiles and learning records are retained to provide the saved learning experience until you delete the associated app data or account, or request deletion. In For Parents, then Settings, Delete app data removes the associated server session and learning records and clears local profiles and artwork on that device. The same control is labeled Delete account for an anonymous session. Other devices using that session may also lose access. Deleting app data does not delete a separate parent authentication account.

A linked parent account can be deleted separately through ReadyStudy account settings. This removes its linked server data and revokes linked-device access. Local artwork on other devices is not remotely erased; clear it using the app-data controls on each device. Uninstalling the app alone does not request deletion of server data. Limited transaction, security, fraud-prevention, backup or legal records may be retained when needed for those purposes. A one-way hash of a deleted parent-account identifier may be retained to prevent accidental reprovisioning. RevenueCat, app stores and other providers may retain their own records under their retention rules; app-data deletion does not promise deletion of every provider record. Store subscriptions must be cancelled separately.

Older parent study services

Older lesson, quiz and chat services remain separate atapp.readystudy.app. Existing saved data was not deleted as part of the replacement. These services retain parent-managed student details, uploaded photos and PDFs, lesson text, chats, generated summaries and quizzes, answers, attempts and scores. Family memberships, invites, paired-device and assignment records support shared access chosen by the parent.

When a parent uses those AI features, lesson or chat content is processed to extract, organize, search or generate the material requested. The older app's AI notice identifies the content and provider and asks for permission before sending it. Cloudflare Workers AI processes AI requests; a configured Anthropic model uses Anthropic. Saved lesson originals and extracted text are stored with the lesson. A photo supplied only for a chat response is not saved as a chat attachment. Lesson text may be stored as numerical embeddings for account-scoped search. Technical records include AI model and usage information. AI output needs parent review.

Authorized members of an older shared family account can access its student profiles, lessons, quizzes, chats and learning history. Account owners control invitations and paired devices. Existing web billing uses Lemon Squeezy. Content remains available until deleted through the older service or an account-deletion request. Full parent account deletion also removes its older library and family access; provider transaction records and limited security or legal records remain subject to the retention limits described above.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including authenticated access and session- or account-scoped storage. No system is completely secure. Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.

Changes and contact

We update the effective date when this policy changes and provide additional notice when required. New For School processing will require updated disclosures before it begins. For access, correction, deletion or other privacy questions, contact ReadyStudy at hello@readystudy.app. Include your parent-account email if linked, or the session ID shown in For Parents, then Settings. Do not send passwords or full payment-card details.
